Sign in/Sign out books:

Invitational Meets are swim meets that you need to sign-up for in order to participate  in these meets.    The following meets are Invitational Meets:  Bottom's Up, Meadow Mini, Sleepy Hollow B, and OMPA

All other meets are meets that you are expected to attend.   If you can not attend the meet, you must sign-out of the swim meet.  It is important to do this since meet fees may be forfeited.  Line-ups are pre-determined before the swim meet so other members of a relay team will be very disappointed if they were counting on you.

The Sign-in/Sign out books are located in the concession stand.

Family Folders:

Family Folders is a file, labeled with your family name, in a box kept on the counter in the Concessions Stand.  Please check your folder often as you will find swim meet ribbons, team announcements and newsletters.  The family folders are a means of communication with swimmers and families during the season.

Jobs:

Please remember to arrive at the meet 30 minutes before it starts if you are working a job. Find the CCC Meet Director upon entering so she can check you in. Also, your job will take 100% of your attention, so you should plan on having someone else supervise your children during that time, particularly if they are on the young side (5 or under).

Swimming Terms:

Complimentary swim:  A swim which counts as an officially recorded time but does not count for points, placing or ribbons.  Swimmers desiring to swim "comp" must obtain permission from the coach

D.Q.:     The disqualification of a swim because the swimmer had an illegal start, stroke or turn as determined by the Starter and/or Stroke & Turn judge.

Event:    The swim meet is made up of "events" which are classified by each age group, sex and stroke: e.g. 6 & Under freestyle,
